Hansen said the city planned to set a public hearing date — tentatively May 20 — and that statute sets the county’s response window based on the public hearing timeline. He advised commissioners to assume the 30‑day response period starts at the conclusion of the city’s hearing (to avoid running past statutory deadlines) and to prepare for that schedule. Hansen also said the city’s preliminary filings had tied three projects together in release materials but that only one application (the Frontier Management RHID) appeared to be slated for the upcoming hearing; he recommended staff and commissioners watch the city hearing for clarification and request a separate presentation to the county if needed.
Commissioners discussed traffic and land‑use concerns related to the proposed development and asked Hansen to solicit additional information from city staff and the applicant. Hansen said commissioners may forward specific questions and he would request the city/petitioner address them before the county’s formal review and potential action.
