The Guymon City Council and the Guymon Industrial Authority approved a first amendment to an existing antenna permit with T‑Mobile Central LLC on April 8 after staff and counsel processed minor legal changes and engineering review.
City staff told the council the amendment reduced the height of the 5G antennas by roughly three feet and that T‑Mobile completed engineering on its side. The city required a structural-integrity review to protect municipal assets; the city’s engineering consultant approved the structural assessment for the revised configuration.
During the Council vote a member recorded an abstention; the motion otherwise passed. The same amendment later appeared on the Industrial Authority consent calendar and received approval in that forum as well. City staff said follow-up will include receiving final structural documentation and filing it with city records.
The council asked staff to ensure any required permit documentation, including the engineering report, remains on file before final implementation by T‑Mobile.
