Pulaski board approves annexation ordinance on first reading for property near Agra Park

The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved an ordinance on first reading on April 8, 2025, to annex a tract of land identified in the meeting as "1950 Elgin Pond."
Mr. Harrison said the annexation follows a recommendation from the planning commission. He described the parcel as a "fairly large tract" south of town that does not border Elkton Highway directly but connects to the city near Agra Park and abuts a recently annexed parcel behind local funeral homes. He also noted the property owners were present at the meeting and had requested annexation. "It is their request that it be annexed into the city and the planning commission made that recommendation," Harrison said.
A motion to approve the annexation ordinance on first reading was made by Mr. Massey and seconded by Mr. Keith. The roll call vote recorded ayes from Massey, Miles, Worsham, Keith, Gentry and Bradley. The board scheduled a public hearing for the annexation on April 22 at 12:05 p.m.
The ordinance remains at first reading; final adoption will follow the public hearing and a second reading.
