County staff said the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office will present public-safety items at the commission meeting next Wednesday, including distribution of free gun locks and a new incident dashboard.
Nicole (staff member) said Deputy Brandon Stitt from the sheriff’s office will attend to discuss free gun locks the sheriff’s office is offering in partnership with Wesley and the Wichita Police Department. Nicole said the sheriff’s office also recently launched “Citizen Connect,” saying, “It’s called citizen citizen connect, and it's an incident dashboard.”
Nicole also reminded commissioners that the Register of Deeds has property fraud alert options available for residents.
Staff presented these items as informational previews for the upcoming commission meeting; no formal action was taken during the agenda briefing.
