The board approved the consent agenda — which listed resolutions 25-81 (HR Green engineering agreement for Bellagio Villas drain remediation), 25-82 (neighborhood sidewalk/grant/bridal fencing project contract), 25-84 (termination and release with Central Square Technologies LLC), 25-85 (change of vacant part-time position job title) and 25-86 (sale of surplus police property) — by motion of Alderman Linville, seconded by Alderman Murray. The consent agenda passed 8-0.
On other business the board: - Deferred Resolution 25-24 (amendments to the Spring Hill Commerce Center development agreement) to May by voice votes after a request from the applicant; the deferral passed 8-0. - Deferred the first reading of Ordinance 25-04 (amendments to the Spring Hill Commerce Center master development plan / amendments to earlier ordinances) to the May 19 meeting; motion by Alderman Linville passed 8-0. - Approved first reading of Ordinance 25-06 (third amendment to fiscal year 2024–25 budget) on first reading, 8-0. - Passed Resolution 25-89 requesting TDOT and GNRC prioritize widening I‑65 from I‑840 (Exit 50) to Bear Creek Pike (Exit 40) by unanimous vote, 8-0. - Passed Resolution 25-90 requesting dedication of a traffic signal at Battle Creek Way and Malinmore Road (Murray County), 8-0. - Passed Resolution 25-91 requesting Murray County Public School Board grant a 75-foot right-of-way along Malinmore Road and Battle Creek Way, 8-0. - Passed Resolution 25-92 establishing a funding partnership for roadway improvements on Malinmore Road and Battle Creek Way, 8-0. - Deferred Resolution 25-93 (dissolving the traffic calming program) to May 19, 2025, 8-0. - Deferred Resolution 25-94 (traffic-calming funding for police traffic positions) to May 19, 2025. - Passed Resolution 25-58 authorizing staff to prepare contingency plans for a water and sewer moratorium, 8-0. - Approved first reading of Ordinance 25-07 (amending the PZ/PZD land-use matrix to change medical offices/clinics from special use to permitted use) on first reading, 8-0.
The board also adopted two resolutions honoring departing aldermen: Resolution 25-87 recognizing Kevin Gavigan (adopted 7-0-1) and Resolution 25-88 recognizing Jason Cox (adopted 8-0). Several items were discussed in work sessions and will return for formal action in future meetings.
