Mehlville R-IXBoard of Education members on April 10 accepted the district's unofficial April election results and completed their annual reorganization, electing board officers and approving committee assignments and delegates.
The board voted to accept the unofficial results "until certified by the Saint Louis County Board of Election Commissioners" and to declare the election of Anne Zimpher and Serene Wilkinson to three-year terms. The motion carried unanimously, the board recorded "motion carries 6 0" when the item passed during the early portion of the evening.
The reorganization portion of the meeting included nominations and acclamation votes for officers. Peggy Hassler was nominated and elected president by acclamation; the board recorded the outcome as "motion carries seven-zero." Tori Belke was elected vice president by acclamation; Jeff Wollman was nominated and elected secretary; and Marshall Crutcher was nominated and elected treasurer. All officer elections were approved unanimously on the record.
The board also approved committee assignments for 2025—6 (insurance, facilities, finance, policy, communications, advocacy) by a recorded vote that the meeting transcript shows as "motion carries 6 0." The board named Jeff Wollman as the Missouri State Boards Association delegate and Jean Creddo as alternate, and designated Patrick McKelvey as the primary SSD governing council delegate with Anne (last name not specified in the minutes) as alternate; both delegate nominations passed without opposition.
Board President Peggy Hassler opened the meeting and conducted roll call; the meeting then proceeded through routine reorganization steps including motion/second and recorded yea/nay counts. The board asked that the newly elected members be administered the required oaths following the meeting.
Ending: The board concluded reorganization items and moved on to regular business later in the meeting; several of the reorganization motions were procedural and passed unanimously as recorded in the meeting minutes.
