Council approves $4.37 million ERP implementation contracts; Frontier Credit Union adds $900,000 to performing arts naming agreement

The Idaho Falls City Council approved two major municipal services items: contracts to implement a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and an amendment to the naming‑rights agreement for the Frontier Center for the Performing Arts.
City Treasurer and project lead (presented by municipal services staff) outlined the ERP changes: the chosen enterprise platform will be implemented with vendors Strada, ScribePoint and Wicklock Consulting Group. The scope includes additional modules (grant management, expanded HR functionality, integrations and additional historical data conversion) that city staff said will improve transparency, data access and operational efficiency. The council approved statement of work contracts for ERP implementation totaling $4,372,551 and authorized the mayor and city clerk to sign the agreements.
Separately, the council approved an amendment to the Frontier Credit Union naming rights agreement for the Frontier Center for the Performing Arts. Frontier Credit Union offered an additional $900,000 toward the center’s lobby expansion; in exchange the naming agreement term is extended by 10 years to a total of 50 years and the overall naming fee commitment rises to $4,400,000. Municipal staff said the $900,000 would be paid over three years and that the funds will help pay construction costs for ADA restrooms and expanded lobby access. The council approved the amendment by vote.
Council discussion noted the ERP project’s potential to increase efficiency across finance and HR operations and that implementation will carry ongoing maintenance and future upgrade costs. Staff and councilors also discussed the naming agreement mechanics and payment timing. Both actions were approved by council vote.
