Huber Heights property board declares three nuisances, orders abatements; two cases dismissed

The Huber Heights Property Maintenance Review Board declared three properties nuisances and ordered abatements and dismissed two other cases during its meeting.
The board voted unanimously 5-0 to declare PMRB case 25-01 (4620–4626 Wayne Meadows Circle) a nuisance and to have city contractors remove an abandoned, unlicensed and inoperable vehicle. Code enforcement staff told the board the vehicle is registered to Roman Kunkel per Bureau of Motor Vehicles records but the registrant could not be located. The board instructed staff to have the city’s towing contractor remove the vehicle; the city contract covers towing fees.
In PMRB case 25-02 (8881 Cherrygate Court), the board voted 5-0 to declare the property a nuisance and ordered abatement after staff found “junk items and cardboard” stored at the side of the house in violation of the outdoor storage provisions of the property maintenance code. Staff said letters mailed to the owner of record were not returned and there had been no communication from the owner.
PMRB case 25-06 (6600 Grove Hill Drive) was declared a nuisance by unanimous vote and staff were ordered to abate the property for a substantial accumulation of tree debris. Staff said they were not certain whether the property is occupied and that prior efforts to reach the owner had not produced compliance.
Two other cases were dismissed after staff reported the properties had become compliant. The board voted 5-0 to dismiss PMRB case 25-05 (4619 Passaic Court) after debris was removed, and to dismiss PMRB case 25-10 (4855 Lodge View Drive) after staff reported removal of the cited items.
