"We're gonna have a little tent outside the connection land trust office. They're donating tent and coffee and or donuts," she said. The events subcommittee also plans to participate in a farm‑to‑school bike bus on Friday, May 9, meeting at 7:15 a.m. at the Hickory Park gazebo on Spruce Street, and to promote a month‑long Pend Oreille Peddlers 'Commuter Cup' encouraging employees to use non‑car commutes throughout May.
The committee asked for staff help sending reminders and calendar invites for subcommittee meetings and volunteer shifts. No formal vote was taken; members asked colleagues to volunteer and circulate event details.
