The Roseburg Public Schools Board voted to approve Sodexo USA as the district’s nutrition services management company effective July 1, 2025, following an evaluation of four vendor proposals.
Denny Austin, warehouse and purchasing manager, presented the procurement file and explained the one‑year contract includes a rider that allows the district to renew the contract up to four additional one‑year terms, one year at a time. Austin said the responses from vendors were comparable and that the evaluation committee scored Sodexo highest.
Board evaluators who participated in the vendor review supported the recommendation. A board director who served on the evaluator panel said Sodexo performed well and should continue as the district’s food‑service partner.
The board approved the motion to select Sodexo; discussion during the meeting touched on national and state nutrition standards and the ODE template used in the procurement process. The motion passed by voice vote; no individual roll‑call tally was recorded in the hearing excerpt.
