DSAC creates communications subcommittee; Charlie named chair to handle outreach to regulators and elected officials

Chuck proposed a friendly amendment: rather than a corresponding secretary, the position should be chair of a communications subcommittee to align with committee bylaws. David accepted the amendment. Chuck seconded. The committee conducted a voice vote; the motion passed.
Committee members discussed the need to make the subcommittee’s role clear so external recipients would understand the request comes from an official advisory body, and to establish an internal approval/oversight pathway: communications from the subcommittee chair should also be provided to the committee chair, vice chair and county staff.
