Adam Dross of the Legislative Counsel Bureau's Fiscal Analysis Division presented the account. He said the office's in-house cash management system is incompatible with the state's new enterprise financial system (Core NV, implemented December 2024), producing reconciliation delays and hundreds to more than a thousand daily unreconciled items. The office and the Office of Project Management developed a limited short-term solution; fiscal staff confirmed $609,000 for ongoing costs is included in the Core NV budget account contingent on implementation funding.
Committees also approved funding for an administrative services officer (operations division) and a management analyst (debt management division), with total funding of $380,502 over the 2025–27 biennium, including limited general-fund exposure. The treasurer's office said the new positions would centralize fiscal responsibilities, support reconciliation and bond debt service accounting, and ease senior staff workload.
Senator Dondero Loop moved the motions as read by staff; Assemblymember Bachus seconded. Each motion carried by voice vote.
The committees also approved several technical adjustments and other closing items for the treasurer's budget accounts, including equipment replacements and funding-source corrections.
