CAC members ask county and ACE about emergency supplies and building records

CAC members asked county staff and one another to clarify where ACE (a community organization) stores emergency supplies and whether the county holds contracts or records for the building. Several members said files and emergency equipment had historically been kept in the ACE office and filing cabinets.
One committee member said she "sent you guys out a history of ACE" and recalled that ACE began as a community effort after the Forest Service offered property; she described obtaining nonprofit status and said the building was intended to be a community center with library support. That member added that she believed county records or agreements might be stored in staff offices: "I remember talking to Kathy about it when some issue came up, and she said, well, they're hanging right up here in her office." Another member offered to contact Meredith Howell, identified as the current president of ACE, and volunteer to follow up with county contacts Randy and Kathy about emergency preparedness.
Committee members agreed to check contracts and to clarify which organization (CAC, ACE or county) is responsible for maintaining emergency food, medical supplies and other preparedness materials stored in the building.
Ending: Members volunteered to follow up with county staff and ACE leadership and to report back with the location of contracts and a list of emergency supplies.
