Council and staff said bids were opened and that a previously listed cost of $1,409,300 was reduced to $1,309,300 after alternate proposals and negotiations. Staff said they met with 1 Water Technologies and the EADS group (plant operators), who recommended a dual-membrane roof product and the selected approach. The council also approved a separate electrical award for the new pump and related work at $88,005.81.
