Planning and Transportation Commission elects Aiken as chair; Chang named vice chair

The Planning and Transportation Commission elected Commissioner Aiken as chair and Commissioner Chang as vice chair during its April 9 meeting.
Commissioner Aiken was nominated, seconded and accepted the nomination; the nominees and commissioners spoke briefly in support. The commission voted unanimously (7–0) to elect Commissioner Aiken chair.
For the vice chair position the commission received two nominations: Commissioner Chang and Commissioner Templeton. Commissioners submitted secret ballots as described in staff procedure; the tally was 4 votes for Commissioner Chang and 3 votes for Commissioner Templeton. The commission recorded the result and appointed Commissioner Chang as vice chair.
The votes were announced on the record. After the election the commission continued its agenda.
