North Bend School District adopts 2025–2030 strategic plan after community-led process

The North Bend School District board voted unanimously to adopt a 2025–2030 strategic plan shaped by more than 2,000 community responses and facilitated by consultant Performance Fact.
District staff said the strategic-planning process included 24 planning sessions and 105 live participants across core planning teams, instructional focus groups, family engagement sessions, principals’ teams and a community-alignment group. The plan centers on a “portrait of a graduate” and four goals: foundational readiness (early literacy, math and social-emotional learning), a safe and supported environment to improve attendance and engagement, continuous academic growth and readiness for success beyond graduation.
Tim, who presented the plan to the board, said the district will develop a roadmap with Performance Fact that outlines priorities for year 1 and beyond and identify metrics to track progress. The district plans to publish a 4-page summary and a fuller 40-page document online; staff said the plan will guide allocation of student investment account funds, Title I, Title II and Title IV expenditures and other district resources.
A motion to adopt the 2025–2030 North Bend School District strategic plan was moved by Nathan and seconded by Mary (surnames as listed in meeting). The board voted 6-0 in favor.
Trustees thanked the many staff, teachers and community members who participated in the process; district leaders said the next steps are producing the year-by-year roadmap, selecting specific metrics and reporting progress publicly.
No changes to district budgets or contracts were adopted as part of the vote; the plan sets strategic priorities and staff will return with implementation roadmaps and metrics for board review.
