Mr. Oster, operations manager for Lancaster ISD, briefed trustees on maintenance and operations work during the March 27 meeting, reporting progress on storm-related repairs and stadium power restoration.
Oster said the maintenance team restored power at Tiger Stadium and completed cleanup and initial repairs after a recent cold snap damaged stadium infrastructure. Technology staff replaced about 187 network cables over the weekend to restore cameras and badge-access systems; after that work all cameras except two were operational and Wi-Fi service was restored.
He said maintenance and operations have a high completion rate for work requests and are continuing roof-curb and awning repairs at GWC and other campuses. Oster noted the maintenance team supported the Special Olympics event held the prior day and thanked finance and other departments for cross-departmental support.
No formal decisions were recorded on the operations update; the presentation was informational.
