EDC Type B approves four event sponsorships totaling up to $6,250

The board approved sponsorships as follows: up to $2,500 for the Balch Springs Chamber 2025 Economic Development Business Summit; up to $750 (Type B share of a $1,500 commitment split with Type A) for the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation gala and concert; up to $2,500 for the 15th Balch Springs Chamber of Commerce 2025 Golf Classic; and up to $500 to sponsor the Best Southwest Red Summit. Each item was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
Recorded motions, movers and vote tallies in the meeting record show each motion carried with Katisha Bruner, Wanda Adams, Helen Shelby and Kelvin Hill voting yes. The board also approved the January 8, 2025 Type B meeting minutes by unanimous roll call.
