The San Clemente Parks and Recreation Commission recorded the following formal outcomes during the meeting:

- Pilot program for temporary community street banners (Agenda item 6a): The commission approved the staff recommendation to implement a one-year pilot allowing temporary banners at selected Vista Hermosa Sports Park locations; staff will return after one year with usage and feedback. - Unsolicited proposal for the San Clemente Surf State Art and Music Hall of Fame (Agenda item 6b): The commission voted to ask the applicant to return after establishing a nonprofit organization with bylaws, a mission statement, a board and a concrete plan addressing nomination criteria, siting and maintenance; staff will refer the concept to the Arts and Culture Committee for additional input. Result: approved (unanimous referral and prerequisites).
- Strategic implementation / coastal subcommittee: The commission voted 4–3 to create a subcommittee to analyze the city’s strategic implementation plan items related to shoreline management, sea-level rise and coastal priorities and to report back with recommendations to the full commission. Result: approved (4 yes, 3 no).
- Adjournment: The commission adjourned the meeting and scheduled the next meeting as part of the merged Parks & Recreation Commission calendar. Result: approved.
Ending: Staff will carry out the pilot banner program, coordinate the Hall of Fame referral to the Arts and Culture Committee and convene the new subcommittee to prepare a report prior to the July 1 reorganization.
