Assembly committee backs AB 506 to eliminate certain IFC reporting requirements

The Nevada Assembly Committee on Ways and Means on Tuesday recommended passage of Assembly Bill 506, which would eliminate several reporting requirements that currently require state agencies, departments and entities to submit reports to the Interim Finance Committee when the Legislature is not in session.
Fiscal analyst Ms. Kaufman told the committee AB 506 was heard by the committee on April 4 and that there were no individuals who testified in support, opposition or neutral and that there are no amendments to the bill. "Assembly Bill 506 was heard by the committee on April 4. It eliminates several reporting requirements that currently mandate various state agencies, departments, and entities to submit reports to the Interim Finance Committee when the Legislature is not in session," Ms. Kaufman said.
A motion recommending passage was made by Assembly Member Bacchus and seconded by Assembly Member Hategui. Committee members voiced aye and the motion carried unanimously. Chair Monroe Moreno said she would assign the floor statement to herself.
There was no public testimony during the public comment portion of the meeting. The committee adjourned following the two work‑session items on the agenda.
