Dallas County Board adopts Dawson County capital improvements element annual update

The Dallas County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution on Oct. 2, 2025, formally approving the Dawson County Capital Improvements Element annual update and authorizing staff to transmit the report to the state.
County staff said the annual report is required by state law and includes a financial report for the prior year plus a list of projects that would be eligible for impact-fee funding. According to staff, the state reviewed the draft and raised no objections, prompting formal adoption by resolution.
County staff member Richard explained the purpose of the filing and the need for annual transmittal. A motion to adopt the resolution was made by Commissioner Stowers and seconded by Commissioner Turquette. The board voted unanimously, 4-0, to adopt the resolution.
The resolution completes the county's annual reporting requirement; staff will send the adopted document to the state as authorized by the board.
