Clearwater Arts Alliance reports five new signal-box designs, library exhibit and Nov. 3 dolphin sculpture vote

Betsy Adler, representing the Clearwater Arts Alliance, told the board the alliance has recently completed five signal-box murals across Pinellas County and announced several upcoming events.
“Thanks to the city of Clearwater's help, we have a new contract to work on, signal boxes that are within Pinellas County, within the city of Clearwater, but aren't city boxes. So they're county boxes,” Adler said, and she listed five new boxes and locations, several of which reuse artist designs with artist permission.
Adler said one of the signal boxes is a brand-new design and that an exhibition by Chris Van Voren opens at the Clearwater Main Library from 5:30 to 7 p.m. tomorrow. She also promoted the Clearwater Arts Alliance’s annual event on Monday, Nov. 3, at the Cleveland Street Market, which will include a public vote on three finalists for a dolphin sculpture to be sited near the library and BayCare Sound. The alliance intends to invite local artists to submit designs for the piece and will present three finalists for voting that night.
Adler concluded by encouraging board members and the public to attend the library opening and the November event.
