"If you wanna double the capacity of that wastewater facility, that's gonna be a $5,000,000 project in today's dollars," Petra said, noting those figures are order‑of‑magnitude and depend on scope, timing and inflation.
Staff offered to assist the committee by putting together "shovel‑ready" project lists and cost estimates for possible funding requests. Petra said county staff will add inflation allowances to next year's budget requests and can help translate committee concepts into technically grounded project estimates.
Committee members asked staff to prioritize a list of potential projects and to provide realistic cost and timeline estimates the committee can use when preparing budget requests and grant applications.
