Council members asked about specific revenue efforts, including scoreboard advertising and LiveBarn streaming revenue; Lori said the scoreboard sponsorship program has not yet produced committed advertisers and that vendor responsiveness has been slow. She told the council she is exploring direct outreach and other options to increase sponsorship and banner revenue.
No formal changes to the Civic Center budget were proposed or voted on during the hearing; councilors approved the administrative motion to advance the Civic Center materials along with the other enterprise budgets to the May filing as part of the broader provisional budget process.
The council indicated staff should continue pursuing advertising and sponsorship opportunities and report back with updated revenue projections before the final May hearing.
