City Manager Sean Lewis summarized three council-member requests for follow-up information during the April 9 Englewood mayor–manager meeting.
Lewis reported that Council Member Russell requested copies of emails and an explanation of staff concerns relating to correspondence from community member Shannon Surgeon about a dispute over a fence on city property. "Member Russell asking to receive information about emails that were sent to city staff from community member Shannon Surgeon relative to a dispute about a fence on our property, provide copies of emails, explanation of staff's concerns," Lewis said.
Lewis said the council agreed to consider use of outside counsel related to that matter. He also reported that Nicole Goldie attended council on April 7 and reported an incident involving Englewood Police and the towing of her RV; Goldie requested staff provide the police report and details of the interaction.
Separately, Council Member Wright asked staff to provide the citys street-cleaning schedule after noting that street sweeping in their area was occurring in the middle of the road rather than along curbs and gutters.
The mayor–manager meeting did not record formal directives or votes; the items were listed as council requests for staff follow-up and documentation. Staff acknowledged the requests and the meeting concluded with agreement to supply the requested records and scheduling information to council.
