Council approves extension with Ridge Rock Inc. to continue storm-drain work at last year’s prices

The Bountiful City Council on April 8 approved extending the city’s storm-drain contractor relationship with Ridge Rock Inc. Staff told the council the contractor performed well on prior projects and requested more work; the current contract lacked an extension clause so council approval of an extension was required.
City Engineer Lloyd Cheney said Ridge Rock offered to hold last year’s prices for upcoming work. The city has funding in the storm-drain capital budget and several projects ready to assign. Council voted to approve the extension so staff can assign work to Ridge Rock at the held prices and move forward with planned storm-drain projects.
