The board approved appointments to the Tourism Advisory Committee after the board amended the ordinance to add three positions and change the state-park seat to a point-of-interest representative.
The board accepted nominations for Nicole Ridland (general manager, Cumberland Caverns) as the point-of-interest representative; Wendy Snead (IDB director) as an IDB representative; and Kelly Roberts as an arts representative. The board recorded that Sergeant Pete Giesling, the Warren County wildlife officer, had agreed to serve as the TWRA representative but discussion continued because another TWRA employee, Will Collier, had expressed interest; the board asked staff to follow up with Collier and deferred final action on the TWRA slot.
A motion to accept the three nominations (excluding the TWRA representative) passed by voice vote.
