Measure BP fund balance reported at roughly $10.48 million; March receipts $665,000

Baldwin Park staff gave the Stakeholders Oversight Committee a financial update on April 8 showing recent Measure BP receipts and available project funds.

Finance staff reported $665,000 in Measure BP sales tax receipts in March and a cumulative receipt figure of $14,463,000 including interest as of March 31, 2025. Staff said the committee has approved funding for 11 projects to date and that the current available balance for future projects is about $10,475,000. Staff noted that a 12th project could be added when the CSO/core‑team funding request returns to the committee.

Committee members asked staff to archive month‑by‑month financial worksheets on the Measure BP web page and to add time stamps or completion dates to the project status notes so the public can see when items were ordered, paid or completed. Finance staff agreed to expand the report’s detail and to post the monthly financials to the Measure BP pages so older entries remain accessible.

Staff also clarified the difference between fund approvals and actual payments: approved amounts can differ from amounts spent, and remaining balances on completed projects typically return to the fund balance. Committee members requested that upcoming reports show purchase or delivery dates for items listed as ordered so the committee and the public can track when projects will be delivered and paid.

No funding action was taken at the April 8 meeting; staff said they would update the financial worksheet presentation to show completed projects and provide additional timestamps and status notes on expenditures.
