Paige Kirchner, communications coordinator for Hope’s Wings, said the program has served more than 4,000 survivors since opening in 2009 and that current funding uncertainty could force cuts to transitional housing and education services. Kirchner said those services are essential to preventing survivors from returning to unsafe conditions.
