Board approves Rockwell Development Center day treatment services; passes consent agenda

The motion to approve Rockwell Development Center for day treatment services was made and seconded during the open session. The board member who moved the motion is recorded in the meeting minutes as Ms. Heffner; Mr. Sanders seconded. The board vocalized "aye" and the chair stated the motion carried. The agenda item as presented requested approval for day treatment services beginning 08/01/2025.
The board also approved its consent agenda by voice vote. Earlier in the meeting the board had adjourned into a closed session under North Carolina law to discuss personnel matters. The board cited North Carolina General Statutes 143-318.11(a)(1) as the authority for the closed session; the board returned to open session and the chair stated that no action was taken in closed session.
