Roselle Park board approves second-reading policies, personnel appointments and business items; HIB reports accepted

The Roselle Park Public School District Board of Education on Thursday approved a package of policy, personnel, education and business items, and accepted district HIB findings.

The board unanimously approved the second reading of district policy updates, voted to confirm multiple personnel actions including new hires, resignations and retirements, and approved standard business items such as bill payments and the treasury report. The board also voted to accept the district's reported harassment, intimidation and bullying incidents.

The approvals came after the meeting returned from a roughly 90-minute executive session. President Dr. Brittney Kirkland opened the public portion and led roll calls before the board took votes on consent sections covering policy, personnel, education and business matters.

On the policy second reading, the board approved the item by roll call with all members voting in favor. The personnel section was approved by roll call; the meeting record shows at least one abstention and one recusal on specific personnel subitems.
