Planning commission approves 81,856-sq.-ft. Reliance Health site plan at 1625 West Parker Road

The City of Jonesborough Metropolitan Area Planning Commission on April 8 approved a site plan for a proposed Reliance Health facility at 1625 West Parker Road.
The project proposes a structure of approximately 81,856 square feet in the C-3 General Commercial District. Todd Butler of Ozark Civil Engineering presented the plan and told commissioners that completing the sidewalk to the east side had been a challenge but “we got that done today.”
City staff said the submittal was before the commission because the building exceeds the 75,000-square-foot threshold and will undergo full staff review before final approval. Commissioners asked whether a different development would require a new review; staff confirmed the approval applies only to this facility and a different project would need separate review if it exceeded the threshold.
Commissioner Dennis Zilber moved to approve the site plan; Commissioner Haley seconded. There were no recorded opposing votes and the motion passed.
The commission did not record additional conditions beyond the standard staff review that will follow. The project will return to staff-level review for engineering, drainage and other ordinance compliance before building permits are issued.
