BROWNSBURG, Ind. — The Brownsburg Police Commission on April 8 approved multiple personnel policies and recruitment plans and authorized a civilian personnel status change, the commission said during its regularly scheduled meeting.
The panel voted to approve lateral and certified recruitment plans that aim to bring both experienced officers (laterals) and newly certified candidates into the department. The commission also voted to adopt revised job descriptions for a civilian narcotics intelligence analyst and a civilian property room manager and approved a comprehensive revision to the department's selection-and-placement policy. Finally, the commission approved the chief of police's request to remove Daniela Valenzuela Fernandez from probationary status and authorize a corresponding change in pay.
