Residents said the trucks block sight lines at driveways, stay overnight in residential streets, and force cars to weave around the trailers. The commission questioned whether larger penalties and towing authority would change behavior and asked staff to study options with the business, the county (for roadway controls), and potential staging sites.
The commission voted in favor of raising the tractor‑trailer parking citation and directed staff to bring back an ordinance to effect the new fine. Commissioners also asked for a follow-up report on operational alternatives and to consider signage and selective towing options to reduce recurrence.
