The Grand County Airport Board voted to accept a vendor estimate of just over $2,100 to install a refreshed advertisement on the billboard located on the north side of the terminal along the freeway.
Board members said the sign had degraded and that the airport-owned or travel-council-funded billboard could be used to promote Contour’s Phoenix and Denver linkages or a joint message supporting both scheduled airline service and general aviation. The board noted the billboard funding would come from Contour’s advertising contribution and discussed coordinating design through the travel council and Love Communications to align with other county marketing.
Jason and other members asked whether the price included artwork; staff said vendors typically provide design and that the travel council could assist with art direction. Board members said they expected to review creative options before final print and installation.
The board voted to approve the estimate and proceed, with the understanding final copy would return for review.
Ending: Staff will coordinate creative with the travel council and return designs for board review before final installation.
