CDC reconstitutes Housing Committee process; appointments to follow after training

Meeting and transparency rules: A majority of the appointed committee members will constitute a quorum; the committee must meet at least quarterly and must post meeting notices in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 551 (Open Meetings Act). Commissioners noted the time commitment—previously the committee met 60–90 minutes prior to the CDC meeting—and discussed the possibility of negotiating meeting times.
Next steps and timeline: Chair Elias said she has contacted commissioners who expressed interest and that the CDC will appoint committee members at a future meeting after offering prospective appointees time to consider the commitment.
