Pflugerville staff opened the public discussion of the city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) annual action plan for program year 2025 on the council’s April meeting, saying the plan emphasizes infrastructure improvements and community services that principally benefit low- and moderate-income residents.
Dr. Yasmin Turk, planning manager for the city of Pflugerville, told the council the five‑year consolidated plan completed last year identified infrastructure and community services as the highest-need priorities after community outreach, surveys and stakeholder meetings. "The primary objective of the CDBG program is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income," Dr. Turk said.
