Council told state-funded Title 9 subdivision revisions are coming; redline to be circulated

Council members were briefed March 19 on a state-funded review of Title 9 of the Huntington municipal code, which governs subdivision standards. A planning-and-zoning consultant (referred to in the meeting as Hansen) drafted recommended changes, and planning and zoning approved sending the edits to the council for review.
Mayor Norton and council members were told that Janine Thompson, the city’s planning and zoning administrator, will circulate a redlined copy of the proposed Title 9 changes. The mayor said the changes are “real interesting reading” and that all edits will be shown in red; the council expects the item to return for formal consideration in a future meeting.
No ordinance amendments were adopted at the March 19 meeting. City staff and planning and zoning will provide the marked-up document to council members for review; council members asked that they receive the redline before the next regular meeting so they can prepare questions for planning and zoning.
