The Town Council on Tuesday approved a resolution to accept conveyance of three remnant parcels from the Main Street Property Owners Association into the town's property inventory.
Staff told council the town acquired the main portion of Main Street in November 2023 but some small parcels, including one adjacent to a drainage channel that connects under William Hilton Parkway to the Jarvis Creek Pump Station, were not included in that transfer. Town stormwater staff flagged the parcels and requested the POA convey them to the town. Council approved the conveyance by resolution on a voice/hand count, 7-0. Staff said the parcels are being donated and the town is not paying money for the transfer.
Council discussion was brief and no members of the public signed up to speak. The resolution directs the town to fold the parcels into its inventory and to proceed with any necessary recording and maintenance responsibilities.
