She said Challenger KA planned to wear blue on Mondays and hold monthly challenges. The board member also described a principal reading The Girl Who Thought in Pictures and other classroom activities intended to build understanding.
“Supporting students with autism in schools is vital to ensure their educational success and social integration,” the board member said. She added, “exceptional education students is not a place, it's a service,” a remark repeated in the transcript to emphasize that special education describes services rather than locations.
Board members suggested the recognition be included in closing remarks at the evening board meeting. No formal resolution or action was recorded in the informal session.
