Selections would proceed in a “snake” order (first through last, then back) and allot field time in two-hour blocks. Staff said Field 1 would be split into Field 1A and 1B to increase capacity.
Parks staff described a three-month pilot for practice permits in June, July and August to test the process before the fall season. They proposed ending the summer permitting period on Aug. 15 and beginning fall permits on Aug. 16 through Dec. 31. Staff said fees will be waived for the summer trial and that fall fees — if the process remains — would be implemented in the fall permitting cycle.
