Subcommittee approves staffing additions for Colorado River Commission power delivery group

Justin Luna, fiscal analyst, Legislative Counsel Bureau, presented the Colorado River Commission's administrative and project budget accounts (including accounts 4497, 4501 and 4502) and said CRC is funded through customer fees and receives no state general funds. The subcommittee approved cost allocation reimbursements totaling $818,053 over the 2025-27 biennium to add one power facilities electrician position and two senior power facilities electrician positions along with associated operating costs. Fiscal staff noted CRC's customers support the increases and the positions were approved by the commission for inclusion in the governor's recommended budget.
The subcommittee also closed related pass-through and power marketing accounts consistent with staff recommendations and granted authority for fiscal staff to make technical adjustments as necessary.
Motions to close the CRC accounts and approve the staffing additions were adopted by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
