Supporters described fusion as producing little long‑lived radioactive waste and as a potential complement to the state's clean-energy goals. The resolution recognizes federal and private activities in fusion research and expresses support for developing California’s fusion ecosystem; it does not appropriate state funds or create regulatory changes.
