Fremont County extends Marchand Ranch event permit to July while awaiting CDOT review of shuttle access plan

Applicant Tiffany Marchand (identified in the application materials) told the board she had submitted a shuttle access plan to CDOT and expects CDOT comments; planning staff recommended the extension and suggested the SRU could be heard by planning commission in May if CDOT feedback arrives. "We have made a very clear pathway using shuttles, and turned that into CDOT as of yesterday at, like, noon," the applicant said during the meeting.
Commissioners and staff discussed CDOT's variable treatment of similar venue access requests elsewhere in the county and acknowledged the need to allow time for comments. Planning staff recommended extending the TUP to the July 8 meeting to provide a modest buffer for administrative processes and to avoid forcing the applicant to return repeatedly.
