Resident urges El Paso County commissioners to be transparent about Pikes Peak Library District trustee process

Where will this meeting take place?” she asked, saying she worried the county might provide minimal notice and make public attendance difficult.
Powers also asked whether the county planned to rely on notes taken by other jurisdictions’ interview panels rather than conducting its own interviews and urged commissioners to meet with citizens who care about the library. She said earlier meetings she had seen included city council engagement while county liaison contact had been limited.
The public comment did not prompt any immediate board action during the meeting. County commissioners did not make a response on the record during the time tracked in the transcript.
