Moffat County commissioners on Tuesday approved several Road & Bridge equipment purchases and two contract amendments to complete work on county ballfields.
The board voted to award a conveyor-belt purchase to Power Equipment Company for $147,704 and accepted a bid of $179,700 from Victory Motors of Craig for four pickups. The board also approved bids for herbicide and mosquito-control products from Snyder & Counts and ADAPTCO, and it approved contract amendments to finish two baseball fields with Garbutt Construction and Ivory Tip Fencing.
The decisions come during routine procurement and construction items presented by Road & Bridge and the county's Office of Development Services. Dan Miller of Road & Bridge said the conveyor being replaced had been in service 53 years and that the new stackable conveyor system will be more versatile and transportable.
