Lima-Allen regional planning commission debuts interactive TIP dashboard

Representatives from the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission presented an interactive online dashboard that allows residents to review regionally significant transportation projects planned for 2026–2029.
Rebecca Phillips, executive director, and Colleen Barry, senior planner and RTPO manager, explained that the dashboard (available at lacrpc.com under Projects) displays maps, project descriptions, implementation years and cost estimates. The commission said the dashboard is intended to improve public participation during the TIP public comment period, which the presenters said was open for about four more days at the time of the meeting.
Barry said the MPO has approximately $10 million to suballocate for projects in the 2026–2029 TIP cycle and that the dashboard includes projects across categories such as signalization, bridges, resurfacing, roundabouts and widening. She demonstrated how users can zoom to view project details, costs and environmental-justice overlays that show project investments in minority and low-income areas.
Council members asked about mobile access and were told a mobile-optimized version of the site exists. Councilors were given handouts with the web address and were encouraged to share the resource with constituents. No formal council action was taken; the presentation was informational.
