Monticello board accepts small community donations to libraries, robotics and fishing program

The Monticello School Board on April 7 accepted four community donations to district programs, including the high school Rally to Read library initiative, the Monty Python robotics team, and a fishing team sponsorship.
Superintendent Wilson presented the donations: Monticello Women of Today donated $13.55 to the Rally to Read (high school library portion); Mike and Sue Benedetto donated $500 for the Rally to Read program; Aspen Tech donated $1,000 to the Monty Python robotics team; and Moon Motorsports donated $500 for a fishing team sponsorship.
Jeff Hegley moved to accept the gifts; Mark Branson seconded. The board approved the resolution by voice vote, 5-0.
The board's acceptance will allow the district to deposit and track those funds in the appropriate program accounts.
