Aransas Pass council approves water-resolution, new solicitation ordinance and multiple event and contract items

Aransas Pass City Council on April 7 approved a resolution supporting development of regional water supplies, adopted a new ordinance regulating aggressive door-to-door solicitation and panhandling, and voted to authorize several event permits and contracts, the council said.

- Executive-session outcomes — Returning to open session, the council approved a contract and lease agreement with Coast Point Company (motion passed) and authorized hiring Langley & Vanek as outside counsel to represent the city concerning LWR property matters (motion passed).
