Board tables naming of two new Edmond schools pending further review

One trustee said the committee did a good job but asked to see more of the submitted list; another raised geographical associations and said Pleasant Grove is the name of a township in a different county and wanted more consideration.
A motion to table the naming decision to the following month passed. Trustees said the committee’s recommendation is advisory and the board retained final naming authority.
The board will revisit the naming item at a future meeting after additional review.
